Inspring Shared Vision and Creative Outcomes

18th & 19th September 2012

Do you seem to get bogged down when you most need to break new ground, work out a new plan or solve a problem? Do you find it difficult to break out of your normal patterns of thinking when you need a new vision or a different approach?

These are common problems and the solution is to develop the flexibility to think differently at will and stimulate creativity.

Peter had the same problem when he made God take three attempts to get him to understand the roof top vision.   Peter’s thinking was trapped in the habitual; it was not flexible enough to grasp what God was saying. So embedded was Peter’s think he even contracicted God saying “Not so Lord!”

Jesus’ challenge to the disciples  to feed the 5000 was so far outside the their mind set  that they could only think in ordinary terms and effectively said to the Son of God  “Do you know what you are doing? What you’re asking is impossible.”

Developing Your God-designed Creativity

Core to God’s character is creativity and, being made in his image, creativity is one of your inherent capabilities. However, we all tend to think down well trodden and habitual paths and our creativity seldom functions as was first intended.

Like Peter and the disciples, we each have fixed perspectives and think in set ways. That often makes responding to God difficult. It always limits our ability to see the way forward and use our God given creativity to the full.

It is possible to develop skills that will enable you to gain new perspectives and  stimulate your God-designed creativity, so that you can develop vision and devise solutions.  You can do this in a way that allows God to inspire and direct you.

Inspiring Shared Vision and Creative Outcomes

In this two day, highly engaging and interactive workshop you will increase your understanding of creativity and how to solve problems, generate new ideas and develop strategic vision. You will learn to use a tool kit that will enable you to both be more effective in your work and ministry and to facilitate this for your team.

As a result of attending this seminar you will:

  • Consider the God centred nature of creativity and understand the various factors which both inhibit and facilitate creative thinking.
  • Discover strategies that will enable you to broaden your perspectives, providing the space and potential for thinking differently.
  • Explore creative approaches so that you can develop vision, new strategies, solve problems and devise solutions in a Christian context.
  • Learn how to collaboratively use creative thinking models and techniques to enable your team to be more effective.
  • Practice applying these creative processes to your real life situations.
